What one teammate has said about Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk after training with him

One of Chelsea’s big-name first team stars has seen himself front and foremost in the news for all of the wrong reasons right now.

Mykhailo Mudryk has said on Instagram that he has been told that a drugs sample he provided this season has come back suggesting he has tested positive for a banned substance.

Chelsea have provided a statement stating that he and the club are cooperating with the relevant parties to come to a conclusion on the matter.

Mudryk has not featured for Chelsea in the last five games, with that including a Conference League game in a competition that he has starred in this season.

Enzo Maresca confirmed Mudryk had been suffering with illness of late, leaving him unable to even train and leave an impression on the manager.

Mykhailo Mudryk feeling the pressure in Chelsea training

With the top performances this season of Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho, the Ukrainian has been left watching from the sidelines at times as he looked to really find his top level in English football.

Mudryk has previously been seen working alone on his finishing in training, with goals not being a regular part of his game since his move to Stamford Bridge.

It seems as if some believe the transfer fee he joined for played on his mind, and directly impacted his abilities to perform.

An unnamed teammate has said that he struggled with the criticism that came his way as a result of not performing his best at Chelsea.

They said to Mail Plus: “He felt the pressure of the transfer, 100 per cent. He was a good trainer, he’d always do extras in the gym. But the criticism, especially from fans, was hard to take for him.”

Enzo Maresca frustrated at Mudryk this season

It has been clear this season that the boss has shown frustration with the Ukraine international at times.

Maresca has been shouting in frustration at Mudryk multiple times on the touchline, as he frantically tried to get him to understand his instructions.

While it is currently unknown when he will return to action, it looks as if the manager has seen his faith in his other wide options repaid as of late.

Even youngster Tyrique George has earned two starts in the Conference League this season, exciting in both wins he played in.
