Wolves’ poor form has continued to make headlines as pundits attempt to pinpoint why the Old Gold are in crisis.
After a 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town on Saturday, Fosun finally pulled the trigger and sacked Gary O’Neil as Wolves manager.
The club are languishing 19th in the Premier League and have won just two games in 16 matches.
Vitor Pereira is set to take over Wolves with an announcement expected within the next 24-48 hours.
The Portuguese manager needs to solve a lot of problems quickly if the Molineux side has any chance of survival.
However, BBC pundit Stephen Warnock has come to his own bewildering conclusion as to why the club is in a relegation battle.

The Old Gold’s issues so far this campaign have been vast. Wolves’ defending has been described as ‘comedic’ while players such as Rayan Ait-Nouri have been involved in brawls.
One area of the pitch few people would describe as an issue would be the front line. Wolves have netted in all but two Premier League campaigns to date with 24 goals scored in 16 matches.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Matheus Cunha has been Wolves’ talisman during this period, netting eight times in 16 games including another goal on the weekend against Ipswich.
Yet, this total is seemingly not enough to impress Warnock who has claimed Cunha ‘can’t score’.
He told The Monday Night Club: “There are no goals in the team. I know everybody goes on about Matheus Cunha – he’s a talent but he can’t score. He scores a worldie every now and again but he’s not going to score 15 goals to keep you up.
“Another thing that really surprises me is why you would sell Raul Jimenez? I know it wasn’t last season but for a player of that quality, he is exactly what Wolves need. He will chip in with 10 goals a season, maybe more and it’s his work rate off the ball – the tenacity up front to pester defenders constantly.
“None of the Wolves players are pests. I don’t look at any Wolves player and think I wouldn’t fancy playing against them. A few of them are nasty in a way but they are cowards when they do it. Anyone can be nasty after the final whistle, that’s brave.”

Warnock’s opinion is baffling. Any fan who has watched the Old Gold this season will know scoring goals is far from an issue and Cunha is by far the club’s best player.
While it is likely that Cunha will now face a ban due to his full-time antics vs Ipswich, it does not discredit his ability on the pitch.
The Brazilian scored 12 goals in the last Premier League campaign and could have had more if not for an injury.
This season, if he continues his form, he is on course to net more than 15 goals, a target that Warnock does not believe he will reach.
On top of this, players such as Jorgen Strand Larsen and Rayan Ait-Nouri have both shown that they can score. The duo has six and three Premier League goals already this campaign.
In fact, Wolves’ goal tally of 24 is higher than Man United, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest – the latter of which is in the top four.
While Wolves’ antics at full-time should rightly be criticised, it is pure incompetence to suggest that the club’s problems are down to their best outlet.
