Young midfielder surely headed to Chelsea exit in January

The January window is rapidly approaching and the Blues may part ways with some of their key stars. As of now, Carney Chukwuemeka seems like he is headed to Chelsea exit. The young midfielder is being looked upon by many top clubs.

The Blues signed Chukwuemeka in the summer of 2022 from Aston Villa. The young Englishman was looking like a promising star but the plans did not work out as expected. Carney played only 27 matches in his first 2 seasons at Chelsea.

This season, the story has been same with the 21 year old playing just 5 matches. In addition, he has not yet played in Premier League and has started only 2 games across all competitions. Chukwuemeka is way behind in the pecking order.

As per The Mirror, the Blues are prepared to allow Chukwuemeka to leave on loan in January. They are ready to take this step in order to provide the player with regular game time. Chelsea may also agree to part ways with 21 year old permanently if a right offer arrived.

Many of the top clubs are keen to sign the 21 year old. In England, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on the player. Outside England, AC Milan, Napoli, Frankfurt and Atletico Madrid are looking closely at the situation.

A loan move may be beneficial to all the parties involved in the deal. Firstly, Chukwuemeka will get the regular game time which he needs for his development. Later, he can use that to impress other top clubs and get himself a big offer in summer. In addition, he can even change plans of Chelsea and force them to make him regular squad member.

Along with Chukwuemeka, two other midfielders are linked with move away from Stamford Bridge. Those are Casadei and Dewsbury-Hall who are facing similar situation as that of Chukwuemeka. The january window will surely be a one to watch for Chelsea fans.
