Jamie Carragher absolutely raved about one West Ham United player when speaking in the Monday Night Football studio.
West Ham drew 1-1 with Bournemouth on Monday night, and it was a pretty poor game of football in all honesty.
Whilst a draw away at Bournemouth is always a decent result without context, Julen Lopetegui needed a win really.
It has been claimed that Lopetegui’s job is safe for now, but a defeat against Brighton next weekend would change all of that very quickly.

Lopetegui’s reign at the London Stadium has been a disaster from start to finish.
However, it could have been a whole lot worse if it wasn’t for one player in particular.
Jamie Carragher blown away by West Ham star
The Hammers have endured a really tough start to the season.
Many of our star players have been in woeful form, and Carragher has actually criticised a lot of them this term.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
However, we have had some decent performers.
One of those has been Tomas Soucek – the 29-year-old always gives his all, and he is a real handful for the opposition from set-pieces.
Carragher absolutely raved about Soucek last week, and he was at it again on Monday night.
He lauded Soucek when speaking on Sky Sports (December 16th, 7:40pm):

“I highlighted him last week and what he’s done not just for this manager. 12 goals from corners since they signed him, that’s a remarkable figure it really is, he’s always involved. He’s a massive part of a team-talk if you’re an opposition manager against West Ham. He’s a huge presence and a great character to have around the place.“
Carragher is right, the Czech Republic international has been a key player for us over the years.
Despite often getting criticised, Tomas Soucek is one player who always leaves absolutely everything on the pitch.
That’s all we ask for as Hammers fans isn’t it.
Jamie Carragher shared just how much he rates West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek, and I think it’s about time he got more credit from the fans as well.
