Chelsea star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is set for shocking return to Leicester City. The 26 year old joined the Blues only this summer but is now set to take U-turn. Chelsea have made him available in the winter window.
Chelsea signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall this summer for £30 million. The 26 year old played an important role for Enzo Maresca last season. This made the Blues to reunite the pair together at West London. But, the deal seems to have failed miserably.
Dewsbury-Hall is unable to receive regular game time at Chelsea right now. He has played 14 games this season but has started only 6 of them. In addition, he is yet to start any Premier League game this season.
Leicester City to resign Dewsbury-Hall after just 6 months?
The Blues have made the 26 year old available in the winter window. They are ready to allow the player to leave on loan. Now, the Mirror have reported that Leicester are keen to sign him back in order to save their season.
Chelsea may also allow the player to leave permanently as he is way behind in the pecking order. But, the Blues will demand any interested party to pay full £30 million which they spent this summer.
Chelsea already have a very good squad depth and hence the departure of Dewsbury-Hall won’t affect much. Along with him, they are also open to sell Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei. These two players are facing the same situation as that of Dewsbury-Hall.
Leicester are having a very tough season this time. They are on 17th position in Premier League and just 2 points above relegation zone. They have failed to replace Dewsbury-Hall who was played very important role for them last season.
The 26 year old had 12 goals and 15 assists in 49 games last term. This helped the Foxes to gain promotion to Premier League by winning Championship. They will surely want to bring Dewsbury-Hall in order to make a significant change to this season.
