Official: Barcelona wonderkid named in The Best FIFA Men’s XI for 2024

Rounding off what has been a hugely successful year for Lamine Yamal, the Barcelona prodigy has been named in The Best FIFA Men’s XI for the year 2024.

The 17-year-old has been on a meteoric rise this year, establishing himself as one of Barça and the Spanish national team’s most important players and going on to win the UEFA Euro 2024 in the summer.

Since then, Yamal has bagged several personal accolades such as the Kopa Trophy and the Golden Boy Award.

Rounding it off, the La Masia gem has also made it to The Best FIFA Men’s XI for 2024, which was unveiled earlier today at The Best FIFA Football Awards Gala in Qatar.

Yamal was joined by Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa), Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, Jude Bellingham, Toni Kroos, Vinicius Jr. (all Real Madrid), Ruben Dias, Rodri, Erling Haaland (all Manchester City), and William Saliba (Arsenal) in the lineup.

Meanwhile, it was yet another successful night at the gala for Barça Femeni team as Aitana Bonmati won The Best FIFA Women’s Player for 2024 for the second year in a row.

Furthermore, Irene Paredes, Ona Batlle, Aitana, Graham Hansen, Salma Paralluelo and Patri Guijarro made it into The Best FIFA Women’s XI.
