Arsenal plotting a surprise swap deal with Juventus

Arsenal are plotting a surprise swap deal with Juventus. Gunners are keen to improve their attack and have one Juve star on radar. Now, to make the deal happen the are prepared to offer one of their current star.

The Juve star in question is Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic. The 24 year old is in fine form this season but the Old Lady are planning to sell him. It is because the striker’s contract will end in summer 2026 and a new contract is not being agreed.

Juve want Vlahovic to agree a new contract with lowered wages. The Serbian currently earns £200,000 per week. As of now, both parties are finding it hard to agree on a deal and hence Juve are planning to sell him next year.

Arsenal are long admirers of Vlahovic. They were keen tk sign him in 2022 when the Serbian opted to join Juventus instead. Now, they are once again interested but have joined by their Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Arsenal plotting a swap deal with Juventus

According to Fichajes, Gunners are planning to offer Juventus Gabriel Jesus in exchange of Vlahovic. The Brazilian has been highly linked with Arsenal exit due to his dip in form since last season. This deal seems like a good one for Arsenal but Juve may hesitate to agree it.

Gabriel Jesus has been extremely poor this season. He has scored only 1 goal in 20 games and has received a very heavy criticism. At theo moment, Vlahovic is surely an upgrade over him. The Serbian may add more goals on regular basis which is what Gunners are missing this season.

Some Arsenal fans will still feel that Vlahovic is not the one they need. But, the Serbian has been very good this season. He already has 11 goals and 2 assists in 19 games so far. In addition, it is hard to sign any top striker in the middle of the season.
