West Ham are in the market for a top-class centre-forward.

That’s the latest from a top insider at the London Stadium who spoke to C&H early this evening.

It was later explained to us that any potential transfer funds would be put towards recruiting a top-class striker. “We could do with a top-class centre-forward and need to raise funds,” was the message from the very top of the club.

The injury to Michail Antonio has hastened the club’s need for a reliable striker, and it is highly unusual for West Ham to be so frank about their transfer window plans. However, it has been made clear to us that “anything is possible” in the upcoming window as the club looks to bring more balance to the squad.
