Tim Steidten could hand Julen Lopetegui a lifeline at West Ham if he is able to complete a loan deal for Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.
Attacking woes have haunted The Irons this season and an exit has already been mooted for Niclas Fullkrug who is one of several forward players to have failed to hit the heights required.
West Ham will be in the market for a striker in January and have been linked with a move for Ferguson at Brighton (TEAMtalk) and it is a deal with plenty of potential given he is reportedly available for a temporary move in the winter window.
If Steidten can pull it off, Lopetegui will be handed a huge lifeline in his bid to avoid the sack at the London Stadium.

With Danny Ings and Fullkrug the Hammers’ two striker options at the moment, a more youthful forward is required in January and one that is capable of influencing games.

Ferguson certainly fits that bill and would be an excellent addition if a deal can be reached.
At just 20 years old, the Irish striker has showcased his ability in the Premier League but found game time somewhat limited at Brighton this season who have a plethora of attacking options.

His physicality matched with his goal-scoring know-how would be a massive boost for the Irons as they look to make something of the season which has been dismal so far barring the odd result here and there.
Jonathan Burkardt is another potential target (TBR) and their desire to sign a younger striker is evident in a bid to solve the striker concerns that have been at the club for several seasons.
