The winners go on to face Empoli in the quarter-final.
There was tension after Saturday’s 2-2 draw with rock bottom Venezia, which was the fourth consecutive Serie A stalemate.
The squad was jeered off the pitch and Vlahovic, who had just converted a last-gasp penalty, was particularly angry at some of the insults coming down from the stands.
He reacted furiously and got into a shouting match with some of the ultras, who it was later reported had made threats towards the Serbian.

A statement from the Viking ultras group on their Instagram page announced there would be a banner displayed outside the stadium, because they were “not allowed” to bring it into the arena.
‘An isolated gesture does not cancel out the past, you have always been respected by us. Juventus, DV9 and ultras united to the end,” was the banner they showed.
Their statement curiously claimed that “the current rules do not allow us to bring in any banner that is pro Juve and pro players, so we will limit ourselves to showing it off outside.”
