Newcastle United just received a significant boost in their hunt to sign a new winger in January.
There are now just two weeks remaining until the start of the January transfer window and Newcastle United are gearing up to do business.
A new right winger is Newcastle’s priority, but any transfer deals will hinge on sales with the club still hamstrung by Profit and Sustainability Rules.
A centre-back and striker are also on Newcastle’s shopping list, but once again the January transfer budget available to sporting director Paul Mitchell is limited.
One player that Newcastle firmly have their sights set on is Southampton star Tyler Dibling.

Newcastle United want to sign Tyler Dibling in 2025
Newcastle’s interest in Dibling dates back to 2022 when he was just a 16-year-old prospect working his way through the Southampton academy.
Dibling scored a hat-trick at St James’ Park during his academy years, and he has been on Newcastle’s radar ever since.
Now 18 years old, Dibling has burst onto the scene at St Mary’s and has attracted interest from around the Premier League.

Tyler Dibling contract talks stall
Southampton ideally want to keep hold of their 18-year-old star but according to reports Dibling has a price tag of £21m.
In an attempt to keep hold of Dibling, Russell Martin confirmed that Dibling has been offered a new contract by Southampton – but his agent was not overly impressed.
Now according to TalkSport, Dibling is stalling on signing a new deal and reliable sources claim he feels ‘disrespected’ by the way talks have been handled.

Dibling’s current deal runs until 2026 with an option to extend, but Southampton could be forced to cash in if he has no intention of signing a new contract.
It could open the door for a potential move in 2025, with Newcastle well in the mix to capitalise on the opportunity.
