[Lucas Paquet](https://www.claretandhugh.info/lucas-paqueta-bio/)a is certainly giving **West Ham** fans a rollercoaster of emotions.
Following a cryptic ditty in which he suggested that he _“wasn’t from here and wanted to go home,”_ the Paq Man has now pledged his love for the Hammers faithful, telling reporters that he loves it here.
Paqueta gave an interview to reporters following his 85th-minute penalty against Bournemouth last night, which saw him sprint to the touchline for a cheeky cuddle with Irons boss Julen Lopetegui.
_“I’m like this. I love to play here with West Ham,”_ said the Brazilian in his post-match interview. _“I love these fans and I try to improve, and it’s the same with the coach; we work together.”_
Brilliant stuff, I think. To be totally honest, I’m as confused as anyone, but it’s completely understandable that Paqueta would have his fair share of doubts and ups & downs following what has been a difficult year. It has been suggested that the Paq-Man’s social media post were lyrics from a hymn but it clearly kept us on our toes.
Scoring at the Vitality Stadium was clearly a huge relief for the player, whose footballing future remains uncertain. The Hammers playmaker is still fighting allegations of betting irregularities involving his family both here and in Brazil.
Personally, I’m unsure how much longer we’ll have Paqueta at the London Stadium, so I guess we’ll just have to enjoy him and his quirky ways while he’s here
