The club are only two points behind the high flying Liverpool, and many are tipping the Blues to push on over the next few months and keep on challenging for a title that would get the board very excited about the future.
But despite the great start to the new season, despite the many players that we have in the squad, there has been alot of players that have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks and Hernandez is one of those players.

FLORIAN WIRTZ ISSUED TRANSFER MESSAGE
Lothar Matthaus has opened up and sent a transfer message to Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, amid all the speculation that CHELSEA are one of the clubs that wants to sign the star
Over the past few seasons at Leverkusen, Wirtz has become one of the most creative midfielders in Europe and a player that all the big clubs are reportedly ready to pay over £100 million in order to try and get a transfer deal done.
However – amid all the speculation and the rumours, Matthaus has opened up and warned the German star that a move away to one of the big clubs does not need to happen at this stage – He told Sky Sport Germany: “If I were Florian Wirtz, I would stay in Leverkusen until the 2026 World Cup. So if he were to extend his contract, that would make perfect sense to me. Making a big move always brings with it a lot of fuss that doesn’t go unnoticed.
‘At Bayer, Wirtz is in his familiar, protected environment and could prepare himself perfectly for the World Cup. At Real Madrid, Manchester City & Co. there is a different media world and the pressure is increasing, while at Bayer he is protected even when he is not playing so well. Kylian Mbappe is the best example, who as the king of Paris has somewhat faded away in Madrid over the last six months.
“In addition, Wirtz has a club in Leverkusen that is one of the top 10 in Europe and can beat any team.
‘I think that the Bundesliga is often underplayed, especially in our country. It also has its appeal and there are now possibly three teams in the direct [Champions League] round of 16.
‘The Bundesliga is stronger than it is often said to be and so Wirtz does not necessarily have to change in order to be able to play at a higher level.”
RASHFORD TO BE SOLD
Jamie Carragher has told told the likes of CHELSEA that it is inevitable that Marcus Rashford will leave Manchester United in the coming transfer windows after falling well out of the picture under Ruben Amorim.
He really struggled last season under ex-boss Erik Ten Hag and has only managed to score 8 goals in all competitions for United, which is not good enough for a player of his ability and quality when he is on top of his game, and he is well out of the picture under Amorim.
According to the Telegraph, United started welcoming bids for the 27-year-old last summer following a drastic loss of form, and are ready to let him leave the club when the January window opens up next month.
Now, Carragher has opened up and claimed that it is inevitable that Marcus Rashford will leave Manchester United he said on Sky Sports: “It’s significant in that early on you see this with most managers who come in, want to send a message to the squad about the standards.
‘I think in some ways it feels a bigger decision than it actually is because it looks like a big message he’s left Marcus Rashford out. I mean, is Marcus Rashford in the best 11, really? How good is he? We’re not talking about a world-renowned superstar here.
‘I actually think we talk about Marcus Rashford too much, if I’m being totally honest. He’s a good player, not a great player, he’s been a really good player for Manchester United.
‘It is time for him to leave the club, but whether there will be any takers with the wages that adds on and things like that, who knows? I just think a parting of the ways is inevitable at some stage and I think for Manchester United and Rashford the quicker that comes the better.”
