The Friedkin Group’s takeover of Everton could be completed on Wednesday 17 December, according to Alan Myers.
The Blues have been waiting for what will have felt like forever for the takeover to be completed at Goodison Park.
It was reported last week that the club received approval from the Premier League but required approval from the Premier League independent oversight panel before the deal could be completed.
However, it looks as though the end could finally be in sight as when asked when the takeover may be announced, Myers posted on X: “Certainly the next two days I’d say, but wouldn’t rule out [Wednesday].”
A new era at Everton close
Toffees fans will be over the moon with this news as it looks as though the completion of the takeover is in sight which suggests things could be on the up for the club.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Of course not everything will change overnight and there will be plenty for TFG to sort out upon their arrival, such as the future of Sean Dyche at Goodison Park and a potential successor, if they choose they would prefer to go in a different direction.
There is plenty of work required from the Blues this season to ensure they do enough to stay in the Premier League and can head to their new stadium as a top flight club meaning it will be a big campaign.
However, this is very welcome news on Merseyside and the supporters will surely feel as though they can look to the future feeling optimistic about bringing some success back to the club once the takeover is announced.
In other Everton news, Inter Milan have entered the race to sign a this Blues player in the January transfer window.
