Crystal Palace have picked up some form in recent weeks and will head into the Carabao Cup quarter-final tie against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium with confidence.
Palace beat Brighton and Hove Albion 3-1 away from home in the Premier League this past weekend. It came after a 2-2 draw with Manchester City at Selhurst Park in the league which followed a 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town.
Oliver Glasner’s side are still only four points above the Premier League relegation zone, but their confidence is high now.
The Eagles will fancy winning against London rivals Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Predicted Crystal Palace XI vs Arsenal
Palace manager Glasner is very likely to field his strongest possible team against Arsenal to enhance his side’s chances of progressing to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Dean Henderson will be in goal for Palace and is likely to be a busy player against Arsenal. The goalkeeper will have to be on top form for the Eagles to win the tie.
While Matt Turner is also an option for the Eagles to play against his former club Arsenal, for such an important game, Henderson is likely to be given the bod.
Trevoh Chalobah, Maxence Lacroix and Marc Guehi will be the three defenders for Palace in a 3-4-2-1 formation.
Will Hughes, Jefferson Lerma and Tyrick Mitchell start as well. Daniel Munoz is suspended, so Caleb Kporha could replace him in the team at right wing-back.
The 18-year-old defender has done well in Premier League 2 and has already made his debut in the Premier League. Kporha could make his first start for Palace against Arsenal.
Ismaila Sarr and Eberechi Eze will be the two playmakers and will likely have Eddie Nketiah in front of them in attack. Nketiah joined Palace from Arsenal in the summer of 2024, and Glasner will hope that the striker uses it as a motivation against his former club.
