Ruben Amorim's team news continues to be leaked

Manchester United pair Amad and Alejandro Garnacho have been left fuming after being accused of leaking team information.

The Red Devils have been blighted with an issue of their team selections being leaked before games - and that was the case shortly before their Manchester derby victory over Manchester City. It is an issue that precedes Ruben Amorim’s time at the club, with both former bosses David Moyes and Jose Mourinho attempting to find a solution.

Amorim himself has also spoken out. And there have been suggestions on social media that Amad - who scored the winner at the Etihad - and Garnacho could be responsible.

But the pair have reportedly had an angry reaction to online claims. According to Mail Online, both the club and the duo believe they have been wrongfully accused and are determined to defend themselves against the accusations.

Club bosses are set to stick by the pair, while there is belief that those pointing the finger at the players are doing so in an effort to swell their online following. Both Garnacho and Amad almost took matters into their own hands last week.

They wanted to speak out ahead of the Europa League win against Viktoria Plzen but were swayed not to as there was belief that it would only worsen matters. It is suggested that United have not launched an official investigation into the leaks, with it being accepted that such information is invariably going to make its way into the public domain given the size of the club.

And while there is no internal investigation, there is a belief that they know who is responsible. It is claimed that there is a feeling around the club that the leaks are coming from sources surrounding their stars and not the players themselves.

What XI should United name vs Spurs? Share your thoughts in the comments below

It is hoped that the publicity surrounding the ongoing issue might discourage the information from being shared. Meanwhile, Amorim recently admitted difficulty at keeping everything in house.

Speaking after the Manchester derby, he said: “I think it's impossible to fix nowadays because you have a lot of people in the club, the players talk with agents. You can talk with friends, so it's hard to know. It's not a good thing but let's move on and go to the next one and see if they find the next starting XI.”

Amorim will be selecting two United XIs over the next week. They take on Spurs in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Thursday before a Premier League clash with Bournemouth at the weekend.
