Cole Palmer’s goal celebration has become iconic during his time at Chelsea, and it’s now been spotted at Alexandra Palace during this year’s PDC World Darts Championship.
Chelsea didn’t know they were signing a global star when Cole Palmer joined them from Manchester City in the summer of 2023. However, the 22-year-old English star’s face is now popping up all over the sporting world.
Bahamian darts star Rashad Sweeting took to the Ally Pally stage on Tuesday night for a first-round match versus Jeffrey De Graaf. Despite losing the contest and exiting the World Championship, he won the hearts of supporters with an entertaining display.

Sweeting celebrated a 180 during his game by copying Palmer’s famous ‘cold’ goal celebration. It turns out the darts star did so after being asked pre-match by a supporter on social media.

Cole Palmer growing in stature
If Palmer keeps performing like he is on the football pitch, his global fame is only going to rise with it.
In 16 Premier League matches this season, the left-footed attacker has 11 goals and six assists. He’s the driving force behind what could be an unlikely title challenge from the Blues this season.
Chelsea’s Palmer leads four Premier League attacking statistics in December as he takes his form into the festive schedule. Ironically, he’s shining at the same time as the annual World Championship in darts, so don’t rule out seeing his celebration again on the Ally Pally stage.
Premier League clubs think Palmer can lead Chelsea to the title with his huge impact and quality. Hopefully, the England star is celebrating plenty more goals in the months ahead.
