Will Osula will look a bit different when he arrives at St James’ Park for Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup clash with Brentford.
The 21-year-old got his longest Premier League run out of the season so far on Saturday, coming on in the 73rd minute to replace Alexander Isak.
With the Magpies already winning 4-0, Eddie Howe took the opportunity to rest Newcastle’s most expensive signing ever, whilst also giving Will Osula the chance to gain a bit more first-team experience.
His minutes have been limited since arriving for £10million from Sheffield United, but Osula is set to play more for Newcastle after Callum Wilson’s latest injury. Howe believes he is ready to feature, and it will be interesting to see whether he gets the chance to play in tonight’s Carabao Cup quarter-final versus Brentford.

Will Osula dyes his hair like Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton
Osula will certainly be in the Newcastle United squad to face Brentford at St James’ Park, and the club have revealed that he will have a new look for the Carabao Cup clash.
Newcastle United have uploaded a video to their social media channels of Osula, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton going out for training, with that trio of players all dying their hair blonde in the aftermath of Newcastle’s 4-0 win over Leicester City.
Bruno and Joelinton regularly dye their hair blonde, and now they are joined by Osula.
During the video, Bruno describes them as ‘the boys from Brazil’, with the young Danish striker becoming an honorary member of the Magpies’ South American contingent.

Osula unlikely to feature for Newcastle against Brentford
A change in hairstyle normally inspires Bruno towards a big performance. After going blonde in October 2022, the Brazilian midfielder scored twice in a 5-1 win over Brentford.
A similar story against the same opponent would be ideal tonight, as Newcastle aim to book their place in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup. Bruno and Joelinton are set to start, with the latter only suspended for the Premier League after picking up his fifth booking of the season.
Given what is on the line, it would be a surprise if Osula is majorly involved against Brentford. Osula is not predicted to start for Newcastle on Wednesday night, with Isak set to lead the line. The youngster is probably more likely to get a runout against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
But it is great to see Osula having some fun with senior Newcastle players like Bruno and Joelinton, and it would be even better if his new hairstyle can lead towards him scoring his first ever Toon goal in the near future.
