Arsenal and Liverpool have both been handed a major boost ahead of January window. They are both keen to sign Mohammed Kudus who looks to move away from West Ham United next year.
Arsenal and Liverpool are both keen to improve their attack next year. They have different needs but have same target. Their target is Mohammed Kudus who has been superb for Hammers since moving to England last year.
Firstly, Gunners are in desperate need to improve their attack. They have been overly dependent on Saka and Odegaard for making difference. Havertz has also been decent but has experienced a dip in form due to playing in unnatural position.
On the other hand, the Reds are planning for a future without Mohamed Salah. Salah will be out of contract at the end of season and there are no talks about his extension as of now. Even if they extend, they will need a proper replacement due to the Egyptian’s age.
West Ham prepared to sell Mohammed Kudus in January
Earlier, West Ham were keen to hold on to Kudus but now it seems that it has changed. Hammers are on 14th position in Premier League and far away from securing European football. Kudus has expressed his feeling of returning to play Champions League football.
Now, journalist Alex Crook has provided an information that West Ham are prepared to sell the 24 year old in January if they receive a big money bid. Kudus has £85 million release clause mentioned in his contract which will allow Hammers to secure a huge profit from the deal.
Arsenal can trigger the clause in order to add more firepower to their attack. Kudus can be an upgrade on Martinelli, Trossard and Jesus who are struggling this season. The 24 year old can also act as an quality backup for Saka and Odegaard whenever required.
On the other hand, Liverpool are having a really good season under Arne Slot. They are table toppers in both Premier League and Champions League. Hence, a January move looks unlikely but Salah’s uncertain future may still force them to spend big.
