Today, Nottingham Forest’s men’s and women’s football and netball teams took part in heartwarming festive activities as part of the club’s ongoing 'Home For Christmas' campaign, led by club owner Evangelos Marinakis. The players visited several key locations within the community, including the Children’s Hospital at Queen’s Medical Centre, the Multibank collection in the Fanzone, and the Himmah Community Hub in Hyson Green, spreading festive joy and goodwill to those in need this holiday season.
The 'Home For Christmas' campaign has seen the club deeply engaged with our local community, making a positive impact through various initiatives. These include a children’s Christmas party, a food and multibank collection at the City Ground, and a coffee morning at the stadium on Monday 23rd December.
This afternoon, the players split into two groups for their visits. One group visited the Children’s Hospital at Queen’s Medical Centre to bring cheer to children and families who will be spending Christmas in hospital. The players were delighted to present gifts and offer moments of joy through conversation and shared love for Nottingham Forest. Their visit aimed to lift spirits and make a difficult time a little brighter for the children and their families.
Meanwhile, the second group arrived at the Multibank collection point in the Forest Fanzone at the City Ground, where they contributed a generous donation organised by the Nottingham Forest first team. The collection, which includes items from both the players and the Forest Family, will be matched by Evangelos Marinakis, amplifying its impact and ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families in the community receive much-needed support this Christmas. In these testing times, the Forest Family has once again come together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Following their time at the Fanzone, the players visited the Himmah Hub at Hyson Green Community Centre. There, they assisted in serving meals and distributing Christmas presents to families and individuals supported by Himmah, the city’s largest independent foodbank. The partnership between Nottingham Forest and Himmah reflects the club’s commitment to supporting the local community, ensuring that no one is forgotten during this festive season.
Nottingham Forest is incredibly proud to be part of these initiatives and remains dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of families and individuals throughout the city. The club is grateful for the opportunity to bring joy, support, and hope to those in need, reinforcing the spirit of togetherness that makes the Forest Family so special this Christmas.
