There’s a new era on the horizon at Everton Football Club.
After so long, the Friedkin Group are now about to complete their takeover of the club.
The Friedkin Group received approval from the Premier League last week ahead of the move, and Alan Myers has reported that the takeover of Everton should be completed by Thursday ‘at the latest’.
With the club moving to the new stadium next season, fans are excited for a new dawn.
Everton have been languishing at the wrong end of the Premier League table for too long thanks to poor decisions, and there is optimism that under the Friedkins, the club can have a brighter future.
With the takeover now imminent, former midfielder Leon Osman has been speaking about the situation – and has offered one important piece of advice to the new owners.

It is going to be fascinating to see how the Friedkins get on at Everton.
There’s already been plenty of transfer talk, and there’s also been some talk about the futures of Sean Dyche and Kevin Thelwell.

Undoubtedly, big changes are on the horizon.
But Leon Osman has insisted that the new owners must not rock the boat too much, claiming ‘stability is key’.
He said (as quoted by the Liverpool Echo): “It’s never a smooth transition with the amount of managers we’ve had in recent years.
“Stability is key. If you want that stable base you need to keep the right people in the right places. That’s the first step and if you follow that with hard work, all being on the same page and playing as a team and a unit, Everton is the type of team that can put a run together.”
Changes are needed, but Osman is right
It will not be much longer now until the Friedkins get their feet under the table and their reign will commence – and fans can’t wait.
Plenty of changes are needed to get this club back to where it needs to be – but Osman does make a good point.
It may be in the Friedkins’ best interests to make these changes gradually, because too many at once could be to the club’s detriment.
Certainly, decisions over the manager and sporting director are going to be very significant, and it’ll be really intriguing to see how long they give Sean Dyche and Kevin Thelwell.
