Speculation around Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle United continues to circulate.
Newcastle United’s resolve was tested in the summer when three of their biggest stars were all wanted by European giants.
Liverpool wanted to sign Anthony Gordon but he ended up staying at St James’ Park and signing a new long-term deal this season.
The £100m release clause for Bruno Guimaraes was considered by Manchester City and the Premier League champions remain interested in the Brazilian heading into 2025.
Finally, Chelsea showed an interest in Alexander Isak, while Arsenal have also been tipped as potential suitors for the Swedish star. Newcastle fended off interest in the summer, but speculation has continued.

Alexander Isak linked with Newcastle United exit
With Newcastle still struggling to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules, the growing feeling around the club is that Newcastle will have to sell a star in 2025.
That could well be Alexander Isak, who is yet to sign a new deal at St James’ Park despite the club wanting to offer a new contract.
He is open to a new deal but Isak wants a release clause in his Newcastle contract which would remove any chance of the club negotiating a fee.

Newcastle have pushed contract talks with Isak until the summer, and have challenged him to prove that he deserves to be the club’s top earner.
Isak currently earns £120,000 per week on Tyneside but wants a bumper deal to reflect his importance to the squad.
Journalist claims Alexander Isak is ‘gettable’
Newcastle have so far stood firm and rejected all approaches for Isak, but journalist Dean Jones believes he is now “gettable” for the likes of Arsenal heading into 2025.
Via the Ranks FC podcast, Jones said: “I think Alexander Isak, this is the time to go for him. He should not be gettable, he shouldn’t be, but I’m told he is.

“I’m told that Newcastle are just not settled right now. There is a vulnerability about that squad whereby a few of their top players might be gettable when they shouldn’t be, and this guy [Isak] is one of them.
“He should have signed a new contract by now. Isak earns somewhere around £100,000 per week. Marcus Rashford meanwhile earns three times that amount. I would trust Isak in this Arsenal system way more. He’s been on their radar before.”
