An Ipswich Town stalwart has offered an update after he suffered a medical emergency during a football match.
Former centre-midfielder Simon Milton, 61, was rushed to hospital after being taken unwell in the directors’ box when the Tractor Boys faced off against AFC Bournemouth at Portman Road on December 8.
He was released from hospital that same day to recover, but has yet to return to work.

In a statement, Mr Milton took a moment to thank everyone for their support and well wishes.
He said: “After a few tests and a bit of rest, I’m pleased to say I’ve had the all-clear and can now move forward.
“It’s been a humbling experience and I’m incredibly grateful for the love and care received.

“While I won’t be back to work immediately, I’ll be at the Newcastle game cheering on Town as a fan and I’m looking forward to being part of the atmosphere once again – just not in my usual capacity for a while.
“Thank you again for everything and I’ll see you soon.”
