As games begin to come thick and fast across all competitions, Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League table has been reduced to just two points due to successive draws against Newcastle United and Fulham.
The Reds do have a game in hand and can extend the gap to five with a win, but Chelsea are breathing down their necks and are playing some good football under Enzo Maresca.
Nevertheless, Liverpool can get the job done if they focus on themselves as they prepare to play Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday after tonight’s Carabao Cup quarterfinal against Southampton.
And Jamie Carragher feels one Liverpool man is playing too much football for his own good as he called for January reinforcements in his position.

Andy Robertson hasn’t covered himself in too much glory over the past month.
The Scotsman conceded a penalty against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League and was shown a straight red card in the 2-2 draw against Fulham for a foul on Harry Wilson at the edge of the box.
With Kostas Tsimikas currently injured, the Reds have had no choice but to use Robertson for every meaningful game across all competitions.
And Carragher believes the experienced defender ‘needs help’ in January as he called for Liverpool to look out for left-back reinforcements.

“He [Robertson] needs help, doesn’t he?” said Carragher on the Overlap.
“Tsimikas is injured and he’s not at that level, we know that. But Robertson is playing too much football. He can still do 15-20 games a season, but he needs help in January.”
Slot admitted that Liverpool may have overworked Robertson this season, but with Tsimikas on the comeback trail, the Scot can finally be rotated in the coming weeks.
Who can Liverpool sign in January?
Carragher feels Milos Kerkez could be a good signing for Liverpool, with the Hungarian delivering a series of eye-catching displays for Bournemouth.
On the other hand, Liverpool are also in the conversation for Alphonso Davies, with the left-back yet to agree a new contract with Bayern Munich.
However, with Robertson only suspended for one game and Tsimikas almost back to full fitness, Liverpool are likely to wait until the summer to solve their left-back conundrum barring a series injury to one of them in the coming weeks.
