West Brom boss Carlos Corberan is a candidate for the vacant Southampton job, according to Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam.
West Brom had an excellent start to the season but have dropped off in the past couple of months.
The Baggies have won just two of their last 15 games, becoming the Championships draw specialists in that period.

Corberan’s side have slipped from the top of the table to 8th and are now are two points outside the play-off places. Despite the drop off in form, Corberan is still well-regarded by the fans with some feeling he should be backed further.
The Spaniard is also well thought of beyond West Brom. Premier League side Southampton are keen on Corberan as they search for a new boss, according to Sky Sports’ Mark McAdam.
Former head coach Russell Martin was sacked last Sunday following a 5-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Corberan, former Denmark manager Kasper Hjulmand and at least one other foreign manager are in the running.

Ready to step up?
Corberan has been highly regarded for many years now. After learning his trade under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United, he was an immediate success with Huddersfield Town. After helping them to avoid relegation in his first year, he took them to the play-off final the next season.

Despite losing to Nottingham Forest in the final, he earned himself a move to Olympiacos. He did not last long in Greece and swiftly moved back to England with West Brom and got them challenging for the top six immediately.

Last season, he managed to take the Baggies to the play-offs with a 5th-placed finish before losing to new admirers Southampton.
What next for West Brom and Corberan?
Bristol City are next up for West Brom as they head to The Hawthorns this coming weekend. Neither side are in especially good form but Corberan will expect a win from his team.

However, after that they have two tough away trips to Derby County on Boxing Day before they head to top-of-the-table Sheffield United.
It is a tough Christmas period for the Baggies. They will want their points on the board before visiting Bramall Lane and the last thing they need is managerial speculation shadowing them during this run.
