Arsenal and Chelsea have done a handful of transfer deals between them over the years in the Premier League.
While Raheem Sterling’s loan deal was the most recent one as he joined the Gunners on a one-year loan deal, the likes of Willian, David Luiz, Olivier Giroud and Jorginho have played for both clubs in recent years.
The two London rivals are separated by two points in the Premier League table and could be involved in a title race if things go as planned.
And if reports are to be believed, Arsenal are positioning themselves to sign another Chelsea player in the January transfer window.

Chelsea have been quite impressive under Enzo Maresca, but one of his first big moves at Stamford Bridge was to sideline Sterling, who was told that he wasn’t a part of the new manager’s plans.
After a lot of speculation surrounding his future, the England international sealed a deadline-day loan move for Arsenal where he reunited with Mikel Arteta, having worked with him at Manchester City.
Sterling hasn’t hit the ground running at Arsenal and is likely to return to Chelsea at the end of the season, but that hasn’t stopped the Gunners from pursuing another player.
According to Caught Offside, Arteta’s side have emerged as favourites to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who only joined the Blues for £30m at the start of the season from Leicester City.
Arsenal can’t sign another player on loan from Chelsea as they already have Sterling, so any deal for the former Leicester midfield has to be done permanently.
The report also states that the likes of Leicester City, Fulham, Rangers, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Brentford and Manchester United are all keeping tabs on Dewsbury-Hall, so he won’t be short of suitors if he decides to move on.
Dewsbury-Hall’s stats for Chelsea
Brendan Rodgers referred to Dewsbury-Hall as a ‘sensational’ player, but it hasn’t quite worked out for him at Stamford Bridge.

The Englishman was a mainstay for Maresca at Leicester and was expected to play a similar role at Chelsea.
But with the Blues blessed with options like Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandez, among others, regular minutes have been hard to come by for Dewsbury-Hall.
Links with Arsenal are certainly interesting and with other clubs also in the running, it remains to be seen if he moves on in January.
