Man United have joined the race to sign top Arsenal target. They have developed interest in the Arsenal target due to the current situation at the club. We may see a fierce battle between the two clubs in January transfer window.
The Arsenal target in question here is Nico Williams. Gunners are keen to sign the 22 year old in order to improve their attack. They were keen to sign Williams in summer itself but the deal never happened. Due to the current situation, Gunners are once again interested in the Spaniard.
Arsenal have been highly inconsistent in the final third. They are overly dependent on Saka and Havertz foe goals. Williams can be an upgrade over Martinelli, Jesus, Trossard and Sterling. Mikel Arteta likes the 22 year old and is willing to sign him next year.
Earlier, Barcelona were also keen to sign Williams. But, recently they ended their pursuit which came as a big boost for Gunners. However, the Gunners are now quickly joined by another top club and hence their lead in race has disappeared.

Williams can surely be a quality replacement for Rashford. In addition, he is just 22 years old which will make him a long term solution for the Red Devils. United do have financial muscle to get the tranfer done but they will still find them behind Arsenal in the race.
Gunners will provide Champions League football to the 22 year old. This may excite the young star as he will like to compete on the highest level. In addition, he has more chances of winning major titles at Arsenal than at United if we consider the current situation at both clubs.
