The third player missing was Lamine Yamal, who suffered an ankle sprain last Sunday, and will not play again until 2025.

Ansu Fati continues to train normally

The rest of the players were able to train normally as they started preparations for the match against Atletico Madrid on Saturday at Estadi Olimpic Llus Companys.

As per SPORT, this includes Ansu Fati, who has been carrying out the same training as his teammates and is fully recovered from the most recent injury to his hamstring.

The 22-year-old spent a month out on the sidelines due to the hamstring injury but has been working with the group for over a week now.

Medical clearance likely for Atletico Madrid clash

Ansu still needs to regain match fitness but has been working hard in training to be able to help the team again.

Medically, there are no concerns preventing him from returning to competitive play, something the player is eagerly awaiting.

In fact, as per the report, It is expected that the forward could receive his medical clearance before the match against Atletico this weekend.

However, given his past history with injuries, it cannot be ruled out that Flick may wait until after the Christmas break, allowing Fati more time to fully recover.

This season, the 22-year-old La Masia gem has only played four matches in La Liga, featuring 129 minutes without scoring or assisting a goal.

His situation will be assessed, and a final decision will be made on Friday.
