The search for a long-term replacement for Fabian Schar continues after Newcastle United missed out on Marc Guehi in the summer.
Newcastle's transfer priority in the summer transfer window was to add a new central defender who could hit the ground running in the Premier League and ultimately replace Fabian Schar, but all attempts led to dead ends with the move for Marc Guehi garnering a lot of attention at the time.
Heading into the January transfer window, the Magpies' priorities have changed to more attacking options, but there still remains a desire to add to the defensive options.
A recent report from Sportitalia has now linked Newcastle United, along with Manchester City, Bournemouth and Chelsea with an interest in Juma Bah.

Juma Bah is a target for Newcastle United
Newcastle have already had one bid for Juma Bah rebuffed
The 18-year-old defender stands at 6'5" and is being tipped for greatness after his recent performances for Real Valladolid.
Indeed, Sportitalia even goes as far as to claim that Newcastle have already had a €10 million (£8.2 million) bid rejected for the youngster.
We aren't sure who Sportitalia are, or why an Italian outlet is reporting on a Sierra Leone star playing in Spain potentially going to England, but it was a story that caught our eye.

Juma Bah looks like he could be a good one for the future
Bah's immense height and the fact that he's holding his own in La Liga at just 18 are both good signs, so we hope there's some truth in this report.
However, if I'm being completely honest, I picked up on this story for one reason only and that was to make this joke:
If we sign him and he pulls on the black and white shirt, will he become a Bah Humbug?
Thank you, and good night! Tip your waitress.
