Everton starlet Stanley Mills has returned to first-team training after 11 months on the sidelines.
The 21-year-old suffered a horrific knee injury in January while on loan with Oxford United, who were in League One at the time.
His spell with the U’s was cut short when he was stretchered off in the 6-2 FA Cup third-round loss to Coventry City ending any prospects of a loan to a Championship club.
The youngster took to Instagram to share an update, posting a picture of him training with first-team with a caption, saying: “11 months later… Feels great to be back out there.”
A huge boost for huge Everton talent

Former Toffees manager Frank Lampard was a huge fan and took Mills on the club’s pre-season tour of the United States in 2022 and to Australia during the World Cup break.
The 21-year-old is yet to make his Premier League debut for the Blues but has made two appearances for the senior team in the EFL Cup for a total of 23 minutes in the 2022/23 season.

The Blues hierarchy face a tough decision, keep him around to monitor his recovery or loan him out so he can continue his development.
The latter is probably the better option, he needs a consistent run of games in the Football League to get back to full-fitness and prove he has what it takes t make it at Everton.
The level does not matter right now as long as he is back playing regular first-team football.
