The Friedkin Group are now on the cusp of becoming the new owners of Everton Football Club with just the final details to be finalised.
It has been an exciting past few days for those on Merseyside with the takeover edging ever closer to completion.
It has been suggested the Friedkins will takeover Everton on Thursday following their Premier League approval last last week.
Everton have enjoyed some better results on the pitch over the last two weeks with four points from their last two games.
But it is the developments away from the pitch which are making the headlines ahead of Sean Dyche’s side’s game on Sunday against Chelsea.

The Friedkin Group have ‘plans’ to attend Everton vs Chelsea
With the news set to break over the coming hours, the Friedkins have subdued plans for their announcement with such a big task at hand.
According to The Athletic, The Friedkin Group are set to have representatives in attendance at Goodison Park on Sunday.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Both the club and the prospective new owners were asked for a comment by the outlet.
But they have reaffirmed that the Everton takeover is expected to be finalised within hours as it enters the very final stages.
A January transfer budget has been set at Everton but the club are expected to be restrained by PSR once again next month.
However, fans may be encouraged just by seeing their new owners in attendance on Sunday against the Londoners.
Everton set for new chapter
So, it looks as if all the waiting games are finally set to come to an end, with Farhad Moshiri’s rollercoaster ride of a time as Everton owner in its final moments.
A win against Chelsea is all Dyche will be thinking about right now, but for the fans, this weekend could be made extra special if the new owners rock up at Goodison Park.
Of course, there’s been some controversy surrounding their decision-making over in Roma, but this is very much a fresh start for the supporters and the owners.
The Friedkin Group were furious with Roma on the weekend, so this may offer them a welcomed break.
With the January transfer window just a matter of weeks away now, this is the perfect time for the new owners to get their feet under the table and get cracking next month.
