Fabrizio Romano Reveals Marcus Rashford's "Dream" Destination Amid Reports Of £40M United Exit

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford’s “dream” transfer is to Spain, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The 27-year-old has confirmed that he is seeking a “new challenge” in a recent interview and, speaking on his YouTube channel about the comments, Romano said he believes he knows where the player wants to go:

“The dream of Marcus Rashford is to play in Spain, he would love to play in Spain one day.”

Saudi Arabia and Paris Saint-Germain have been touted as the most likely destinations for the England international so it will be interesting to see whether the likes of Barcelona will come in for him.

Is there a chance that Rashford will remain in England?

Fans of clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and even West Ham have been debating whether their teams should make a move for the player but, the way Rashford has been speaking about a fresh challenge, it does suggest that a transfer abroad is the likelier outcome.

The main stumbling block will be his salary. Rashford earns in excess of £300,000 a week and that limits the number of interested parties.

Amorim insists that he does not want the forward to leave United

After being left out of the matchday squad for the Manchester derby, it had been assumed that head coach Ruben Amorim was open to selling Rashford, especially after what the player has said in public in recent days. However, when asked at his pre-match conference about the striker’s future on Wednesday, the manager replied:

“We are better with Marcus Rashford, and that’s simple, we try different things to push Marcus to be at his best level that he’s shown in the past. This kind of club needs big talent and he is a big talent so we just need him to perform at the highest level and that is my focus. I just want to help Marcus.”

Going by Rashford’s own remarks, though, it seems that he may have already made up his mind. The club have reportedly slapped a £40m price tag on the forward and we will soon find out how things unfold during the January transfer window.
