Man United Old Trafford
Marcus Rashford has put his future up in the air claiming that he is now ready for a new challenge and these comments have been made just when there have been rumours about Manchester United’s plans to offload the forward.
In order to cut their losses, Man United are now looking to cash in on the 27-year-old and since Rashford is a homegrown talent, the money earned from his sales will go a long way into balancing the books. In the previous couple of months, the INEOS owners have taken various measures to cut down costs at the club and they feel, the players should not be protected either.
While Ruben Amorim has publicly said that he wants to work with Marcus Rashford and hopes that he stays at the club the clock is well and truly ticking for the England international. United are ready to listen to offers as early as January and if that does not happen, Rashford will definitely be sold in the summer.
This recent statement from the United forward is sure to create a lot of buzz in the transfer market which is why we decided to take a look at some of the possible destinations that Marcus Rashford could be heading to next year.
PSG:
Without a shadow of a doubt, PSG are one of the biggest names in this list because the French side have been linked with Marcus Rashford for a couple of years and now with Kylian Mbappe out of the club, the Ligue 1 side could finally make a move.
There have been whispers that PSG are preparing a bid for the 27-year-old and now, after these comments, they are surely going to make formal contact very soon.
They are a club who are in desperate need of a superstar forward and their Middle Eastern owners won’t mind paying a handsome fee for the United wantaway star. Also, for the Red Devils, selling Rashford to a French club will pose the least amount of threat.
Barcelona:
Barcelona missed out on signing Nico Williams last summer and even though they are planning to go back for the Spanish youngster someone like Marcus Rashford can be the ideal alternative.
Like Williams, Rashford can also play on the left wing but the England international also has the ability to play up front which is a great luxury to have. Barca will definitely keep a keen eye on this whole scenario but given their financial condition, Laporta and Co might struggle to put the demanded money on the table.
Also, if Williams is willing to get out of Athletic Bilbao next summer then the 22-year-old will definitely remain the top priority for Hansi Flick.
Arsenal:
We doubt if Manchester United will be eager to sell one of their top stars to a direct Premier League rival but in case they do, Arsenal will be very much interested in signing the forward.
Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have done a fairly good job down that left-hand side but like we said, since Rashford can play up top, the 27-year-old can become the ideal long-term replacement to Gabriel Jesus.
Gabriel Jesus will be sold at the end of this season and if the Gunners are willing to spend around £50-55 million they can certainly look at Marcus Rashford to fill that gap.
