Forest to host festive open house event to combat social isolation

On Monday 23rd December, Forest will become our community’s ‘home from home’ when it opens its doors and its hearts to fans and local residents experiencing isolation and loneliness this Christmas.

From 10am to 1pm, the Club’s European Suite in The Brian Clough Stand will take on the warmth of a Christmas living room, with coffee, mince pies, music and conversation in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

With Age UK reporting that over one million people will experience loneliness this Christmas, the Club is committed to bringing the Forest Family together to ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy the benefits of human connection, conversation, support and friendship during this special time of year.

The event – open to anyone who may benefit and with no requirement to book – is hoped to be a catalyst for fans to foster meaningful connections with their fellow Reds, share memories of Forest through the decades, and celebrate the spirit of special Forest Family community.

Forest Legends will be joining us, providing an opportunity for Q&A sessions and plenty of Forest chat, giving guests the chance to connect with others who share the same passion for the Club.

This event is one of a number of community and charity-focussed initiatives held as part of our ‘Home for Christmas’ campaign, which underlines owner Evangelos Marinakis’ commitment to supporting our local community.

Parking will be available in The Brian Clough Stand car park on Scarrington Road (NG2 5FA), from 9:45am until 1pm, but please note that spaces are limited. To ensure we can accommodate as many people as possible, we kindly ask that you attend only if you feel this event will bring you comfort and joy this Christmas.

From all of us at Nottingham Forest Football Club, we wish you a Merry Christmas and invite you to share in the warmth, friendship, and support that our community so proudly stands for.
