Michael Ball has accused Sky Sports of not getting their facts right about Everton.

It’s unclear what part of Sky Sports’ coverage of the Blues has riled the former left-back. However, it’s been widely reported by the broadcaster that The Friedkin Group are close to completing their takeover of the Merseyside club.

Something about the coverage that Ball has seen either on television or online has irked him though.

“If you’re going to chat wham, at least try to get your facts right about the Everton,” said Ball via his personal X account on Wednesday (18 December).

When will TFG complete their Everton takeover?

Evertonians have been waiting for a very long time for Farhad Moshiri to leave Goodison Park.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

And finally, with Premier League approval granted, they’re on the verge of waving goodbye to the British-Iranian businessman forever.

Moshiri may have made some big changes at Goodison Park and he’ll forever be known as the man who started a new era at Bramley-Moore Dock.

However, that legacy has been tarnished by the last few years where he’s failed to sell the club, struck agreements with parties that he never should have and ultimately failed at running a Premier League club successfully.

It remains to be seen what Ball was so irate about with Sky Sports but their journalist Alan Myers (it would be a huge shock if the ire was aimed at him) has reported that the takeover should be done by the end of play on Thursday.

If that’s the case then a new dawn will rise when the Toffees take on Chelsea on Sunday (22 December).

In other Everton news, a first-team chance could be on the cards for one Toffees youngster after what he did for their Under-21s.
