Carlo Ancelotti sets all-time Real Madrid record with Intercontinental Cup win

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has on Wednesday etched his name indellibly into the history books of the club.

This comes owing to Real’s triumph in the Intercontinental Cup finale.

Los Blancos marked their return to action a short time ago, locking horns with Mexican heavyweights Pachuca in a showpiece clash in Lusail, Qatar.

When all was said and done, the Spanish champions emerged dominant victors, thanking goals on the part of all of Kylian Mbappé, Rodrygo and Vinícius Jr. for an eventual 3-0 result.

As much means that Real Madrid have now racked up two pieces of silverware this season, after also securing the UEFA Super Cup back in August.

And, owing to his latest success, boss Carlo Ancelotti has secured for himself sole ownership of the title of Los Merengues’ most successful manager of all time.

The Italian tactician has now won 15 trophies whilst on the bench in Spain’s capital, one more than the legendary Miguel Muñoz.
