Juventus midfielder Tim Weah suffered a thigh muscle injury in Tuesday's Coppa Italia win over Cagliari, the club has announced.
Weah came on in the 81st minute of the 4-0 victory, assisting Nico González on the game's final goal.
"Following the muscular problem suffered on Tuesday night in the Coppa Italia match against Cagliari, Timothy Weah underwent clinical and instrumental examinations this morning at J|Medical, which revealed a low-grade injury of the femoral biceps of the right thigh," a club statement read.
Juventus didn't specify how long the 24-year-old would be out, but The Athletic reported that Weah's recovery time would be around two weeks.
That would see Weah miss the club's final two Serie A matches of the year, at Monza on Sunday and against Fiorentina on Dec. 29. He could potentially return for the Supercoppa Italiana semifinal against AC Milan on Jan. 3.
This is the third minor injury Weah has suffered this season, with the New York native also missing time with a hamstring injury and an ankle sprain.
Weah has still managed to play a key role at Juventus this season, tallying four goals and four assists in 18 appearances across all competitions.
