Arsenal came from behind on Wednesday night to make it to the League Cup semi-final.
The Gunners conceded an early goal, with Mateta converting from a Jakub Kiwior mistake.
Arsenal were lethargic in the first half, but as some of their first-team regulars were introduced, the Gunners stepped it up.
Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka off the bench to provide assists for Gabriel Jesus, scoring his first Emirates goals of 2024 – and what a way to do it, bagging 3 in one half!
It was an evening for out of form strikers to turn their fortunes around, with the returning Eddie Nketiah coming from the bench to nod in a late goal to make it tight, but Arsenal saw it through and made it to the semi-final.

Here’s how I rated the players:
David Raya – 7
Thomas Partey – 6 (William Saliba on at half time – 8)
Jurrien Timber – 7
Jakub Kiwior – 5
Kieran Tierney – 6
Jorginho – 6
Ethan Nwaneri – 6 (Martin Odegaard on at half time – 7)
Mikel Merino – 6
Raheem Sterling – 7

**Men of the match**: Gabriel Jesus. A huge evening for Jesus. No goals at The Emirates in 2024 and zero confidence, Jesus grabbing a hattrick in this game could resurrect his Arsenal career, and help this Arsenal squad moving forward.
