£350k-a-week Chelsea target confirms he is ready to make next move

Long-term CHELSEA transfer target Marcus Rashford has opened the door to a potential Manchester United exit after confirming that he is ready for a new challenge after his struggles at the Red Devils.

Rashford is a player that has been at Man United all through his career, and was tipped to become one of the best attackers in the game a few seasons ago when he hit an impressive 30 goals, but since then it has all gone wrong.

He looks nothing like the player that could bang in goals on a weekly basis and because of that he has fallen well down the pecking order at Old Trafford, which has led to alot of rumours that we could make an offer in the upcoming January window.

Now, amid all the speculation and rumours, Rashford has opened up and admitted that he is ready for a new challenge – In a chat with journalist Henry Winter, the 27-year-old said: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.

“If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”

He added: “I’m halfway through my career. I don’t expect my peak to be now. I’ve had nine years so far in the Premier League and that’s taught me a lot, that’s helped me grow as a player and as a person.

“So I don’t have any regrets from the last nine years. I won’t have any regrets going forward because I take things day by day and sometimes bad things happen, and sometimes good things happen. I just try and keep a fine balance. 100%. That’s my mentality.”

When asked if he would always be a red at heart, Rashford quickly responded: “Yes! 100%. 100%.”
