Chelsea outcast Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been linked with a move to Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur had a productive summer transfer window as they not only invested in quite a few young talents with high potential but also managed to move on the majority of the deadwood.
16 games into the 2024/25 campaign and results have been far too inconsistent, but the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful are wise enough to understand that Ange Postecoglou is building something special in North London. The process of reshaping the squad after years of misery will take time and Tottenham remain on the right track under Ange Postecoglou despite an up-and-down campaign.
Of course, for Spurs to push for a spot in the top four, a new signing or two in the January transfer window might be on the agenda. The Lilywhites supposedly want to bring in a new midfielder during the winter transfer window, and Chelsea’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has emerged as one of the targets.

Big Ange could do with a couple of new additions in January
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was among the best performers for Leicester City in the Championship last season, helping the club win the title and achieve automatic promotion to the Premier League under Enzo Maresca. After just one season with the Foxes, Maresca accepted the Blues’ proposal to become the new head coach in June and he persuaded them to sign the central midfielder.
However, the Englishman has not managed to find his feet at Stamford Bridge. He has largely been consigned to playing in the Europa Conference League and among the second string. As a result, Spurs have been presented with an opportunity to sign Dewsbury-Hall as his current employers Chelsea are open to letting him leave when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
That being said, Tottenham are not the only interested Premier League club in the 26-year-old’s signature. According to a report from CaughtOffside, Arsenal appear to be favourites to land Dewsbury-Hall.

Bitter rivals Arsenal leading the race for Dewsbury-Hall would come as a blow for Tottenham, who failed to replace experienced midfielders such as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso before the summer window’s deadline. That said, Dewsbury-Hall has possibly emerged as an option to replace one of them in Big Ange’s midfield unit.
While the Nottingham-born talent may have failed to live up to the lofty expectations at Chelsea, he remains a highly coveted talent and could do a good job at Spurs. However, with Arsenal emerging as early favourites for his signature, Tottenham may be forced to turn their attention elsewhere.
