Everton fans may not have to wait much longer as Fabrizio Romano has issued a takeover update.
It feels like an age since the Friedkin Group started their process to become the new owners at Everton.
There has been plenty of twists and turns, with the constant negative feedback coming from Italy not helping the cause and the ongoing court case raising potential concerns.
However, things are finally on track and an announcement is imminent, with Alan Myers stating that takeover will be announced on Thursday.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has added his seal of approval, which makes the takeover feel the realest it’s been so far, with an announcement imminent.

Leon Osman has already sent his message to the new owners
Leon Osman is loved on Merseyside, but it remains to be seen as to whether the Friedkins will take his advice.
Speaking about what’s required once the new owners are through the door, Osman highlighted stability.
“It’s never a smooth transition with the amount of managers we’ve had in recent years.
“Stability is key. If you want that stable base you need to keep the right people in the right places. That’s the first step and if you follow that with hard work, all being on the same page and playing as a team and a unit, Everton is the type of team that can put a run together.”
This is something that’s been missing at times under Moshiri, with the unstable base he’d made at the bottom of the Everton pyramid.
