Chelsea star Cole Palmer has jokingly questioned Romeo Lavia for tagging manager Enzo Maresca in one of his Instagram photos. The Blues have enjoyed a stellar campaign under the Italian manager and are currently riding on a rich vein of form.

Since his appointment in the summer, Maresca has helped turn the club's fortunes around. Chelsea are second in the league standings with 34 points, two points behind leaders Liverpool who have a game in hand.

The Blues have also been outstanding on the continent winning all five of their UEFA Conference League matches. They are currently on a 10-game unbeaten run across all competitions. Maresca has also brought out the best in his squad with players like Enzo Fernandes, Nicolas Jackson, and Cole Palmer hitting top-gear form at the moment.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca backs Mykhailo Mudryk following drug test failure

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has shown support for Mykhailo Mudryk amid his drug test failure. The 23-year-old winger was provisionally suspended by the Football Association after failing a routine urine test.

Speaking about the situation, Maresca said (via BBC):

"We support Mykhailo and trust means that we believe Mykhailo. The club, the coaching staff and all of the people that are inside the training ground - we support and we trust Mykhailo."

"I think he is going to come back but we don't know when. But for sure he is going to come back. Any kind of player that this kind of things happens to, they need support, you would need support and I would need support. It is not about his age or the country that he comes from," the manager added.

If found guilty for intentionally consuming a banned substance, Mudryk could be banned for up to four years. Since joining the Blues from Shakhtar Donetsk for a reported £89 million in 2023, the Ukranian winger has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 73 games for Chelsea.
