Newcastle United fans can start to claim they're finally starting to see the best of Sandro Tonali 18 months after his move to England.
The Italian international got off to a flying start with the Magpies, scoring on his debut in the opening game of last season only for his world to come crashing down just a couple of months later, being hit with a 10-month ban from football for breaching gambling rules.
Tonali served his time and is now back with a vengeance, growing in confidence and stature with each game and slowly developing an exciting partnership with Bruno Guimaraes.
The pair linked up brilliantly several times in last night's 3-1 win over Brentford. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Sandro Tonali bagged a brace for Newcastle against Brentford
Sandro Tonali has been in the media a lot these past couple of weeks with rumours about him wanting to return to Italy having to be shot down by his agent.
We saw no signs of an unsettled player last night as the midfielder smashed in two goals to set Newcastle on their way to the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Tonali took to Instagram to share a message to the fans after the game.
"Happy for the goals tonight and a win to secure a spot in the semis. Let’s keep it this way!"

Bruno Guimaraes - Telling it like it is
The replies were filled with positivity from teammates and co-owners past, but the comment that stands out was from El Capitan, Bruno Guimaraes.
"What a player"
We couldn't have said it better ourselves, Bruno. What a player indeed. Howay the lads!
