Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood both agree on the best Nottingham Forest moment this season

Nottingham Forest are flying high in the Premier League right now and things look to be on the up.

In Chris Wood, the Reds have a player who has already bagged himself 10 goals from 16 matches this season.

Alan Shearer has hailed Wood and given that he scored 260 Premier League goals, that is certainly some high praise.

Behind him, Morgan Gibbs-White is also getting up to speed and getting among the goals and assists this season.

He recently scored and set one up against Manchester United and registered another assist against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Now, both Gibbs-White and Wood have been discussing some of the best Forest moments this season.

It’s rare for Forest in the Premier League but there are plenty to choose from this season.

Solid results have come across the season and Forest are just four points away from last season’s total with 22 games still to play.

It goes without saying that there is still work to do and progress to be made but Forest have made great strides this season.

Wood and Gibbs-White are in total agreement that the best result of the season so far came when the Reds defeated Liverpool at Anfield.

Gibbs-White told Optus Sport: “For me personally looking back now seeing how well Liverpool are doing I’d probably say winning at Anfield. Just because not many teams have done that – certainly not this season.”

Wood concurred with his teammate and added: “I think I’d agree, I think Liverpool are probably going to go on and become champions and they’re a very good side and they’re showing that consistently.”

It’s been a tremendous start to the season and with the halfway stage fast approaching, there is no sign of Forest letting up.

There are some good teams in the mix for the European places this season but Forest do look like being one of those.

Under the influence of Nuno Espirito Santo, it appears that the team will stay grounded and continue to fight for each other in every single match.

Nobody anticipated that Forest could get into Europe this season but if that becomes a reality, surely, Espirito Santo will be down as the Manager of the Season at a canter.
