Everton have no contractual liability to Tottenham with regards to Dele Alli, Goodison News has learned.

Goodison News also understands that as he’s a free agent, the sell-on clause that Spurs had included in the deal to send him to Goodison Park is no longer valid.

Everton unlikely to sign Dele Alli permanently

The English attacking midfielder was signed by the club but he failed to make an impact at Goodison Park.

He faced multiple injury setbacks and his loan spell in Italy also did not reap any dividends.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Since moving to Goodison Park, Alli has failed to recreate the heights he achieved in North London under Mauricio Pochettino.

Until recently, it seemed that the Toffees had plans on re-signing Alli, given the fact that they let him use their facilities for an extended period of time.

It was even understood that he was close to featuring for the Under-21s which is usually the first step taken towards a first-team return and had even agreed a deal in principle. [Alan Myers]

However, it seems like he will likely be signed by Como if manager Cesc Fabregas deems him first-team ready.
