Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar.
The 29-year-old central defender has been linked with an exit from the French outfit and Gazzetta Dello Sport are reporting that Tottenham could be a plausible destination for him.
The Slovakian international will be expected to fight with Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven for the starting spot at the London club. Spurs need more quality and depth at the back and the PSG star would be a quality addition. He has proven his quality in Italian football prior to the move to France, and there is no doubt that he has the qualities to thrive in the Premier League as well.
The player has been previously described as “absolutely top-class” by Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta (h/t F365). He could complete the Tottenham defensive unit for the foreseeable future. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to make a move for him in January. The player has a long-term contract with PSG, and they could look to demand a premium for him.

Spurs need to improve the other areas of their squad as well, and it will be interesting to see if they can secure his signature for a reasonable amount of money. Skriniar was regarded as one of the best defenders in the world during his time at Inter Milan and it will be interesting to see if he can recapture that form if he moves to the Premier League. He could prove to be an asset for Tottenham at the right price.
Tottenham have had a mediocre season so far and they will look to get their campaign back on track. Signing the right players in January will certainly help them bounce back strongly and finish the season on a high.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are looking at his compatriot David Hancko as well.
