The January transfer window is just around the corner, and there are a few players who need new clubs.
Marcus Rashford wants a move, while Alexander Isak may leave Newcastle.
Arsenal have some work to do in January in their attacking positions. After all, they’ve failed to score in any of their last three league games from open play.
Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been discussing Dani Olmo’s situation at Barcelona, and he’s pitched a potential move to Arsenal.
Arsenal were linked with Olmo in the summer transfer window after his fantastic performances at Euro 2024.
If Barcelona don’t sort their finances out, Olmo will be available on a free transfer in January.
However, Barcelona are confident of keeping Olmo.
That said, Wright did make the case for the midfielder joining Arsenal, claiming that this could be the perfect move for Olmo to replicate Martin Odegaard and find a long-term home.

Dani Olmo should join Arsenal
Wright spoke about Olmo’s situation and where he should go next.
Of course, Wright is biased, but he believes the Spaniard should be coming to Arsenal to find a home.
“He’s got the vibe for me, Dani Olmo, that he needs a home. He needs a home, like how we gave Martin Odegaard. You need a home, Dani. Have you seen what’s happened with Martin Odegaard? He needs a home. Come to Arsenal. I’m telling you, you are exactly what we need, Dani.
Dani Olmo stats this season
Wright’s comments may suggest that Olmo is struggling this season as the pundit says the midfielder needs to find a home.
However, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Indeed, Olmo is impressing at Barcelona this season, he’s scoring plenty of goals and getting plenty of minutes.

Olmo probably wouldn’t be able to play that often at Arsenal.
Indeed, as Wright alludes to, Martin Odegaard is already at Arsenal, and if Olmo were to come to the Emirates, he’d surely find himself second-fiddle behind the Arsenal captain.
With Olmo in such a unique situation with his registration at Barcelona, there are bound to be tons of rumours around the player heading into the January transfer window, but a move to Arsenal may not make the most sense.
Olmo could be on the move in the January transfer window, but it’s unlikely that he will end up at Arsenal given how important Martin Odegaard is to this team.
