The Friedkin Group are yet to transfer funds to Farhad Moshiri to complete their takeover of Everton, according to talkSPORT.

The process of the US businessman taking over at Goodison is in the final stages and could be completed as early as Thursday (19 December) [David Ornstein].

It now appears that the Roma owners are yet to complete their takeover with funds yet to be sent to the current Toffees owner.

Tom Clayton reported to talkSPORT (19 December, 9:02am): “We understand that they were approved last night and it’s just now a matter of transferring funds.”

It looks as if Moshiri is going to be replaced at Goodison as the Friedkins undergo the formalities of a takeover.

There are many complications that have been dealt with in L4 but it now appears that supporters are set to have something to be excited about.

Fans will wait with bated breath for an announcement of the new owner as Moshiri also waits for funds to be sent through to complete a deal.

Despite funds not yet going through, it appears that an announcement is set to be made which could then see representatives attend the clash against Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday (22 December).

This could be a game with a party atmosphere as supporters celebrate the end of years of financial insecurity.

There were multiple points deductions to deal with last campaign which could be a thing of the past if Friedkin proves to be a success.
