All the latest injury news surrounding Arsenal and Crystal Palace as they prepare to face off on Saturday.
We are likely to see a stronger Arsenal side in particular on Saturday, but Palace have shown they can compete over recent weeks, and they are a dangerous side to play in the Premier League currently. As the game approaches, we have rounded up all the injury news surrounding both teams.
Matheus Franca - Out
Franca won’t return until the new year from his groin injury, with Glaser saying: “He's training individually, and his progress gets better and better. It looks like he will join us in team training, if everything goes in the right direction, early in the New Year. For the December games, he's not available.”
Adam Wharton - Out
Wharton is also out until after the turn of the year, with Glasner explaining: “Adam can’t train with us at the moment. I think it will take a few weeks until he is available.”
Daniel Munoz - Out (Suspended)
Munoz is suspended after reaching the yellow card limit. He will be eligible to return on Boxing Day.
Chadi Riad - Doubt
Riad is back fit but lacking in match fitness. It’s unclear whether he will be risked yet.
Rob Holding - Out (Non-injury related)
Holding is not currently part of Glasner’s plans.
Ben White - Out
White is out after having a knee operation and he is not likely to return until the spring. Arteta said: “Adam can’t train with us at the moment. I think it will take a few weeks until he is available.”
Riccardo Calafiori - Out
Calafiori won’t return until the December 27th game, with Arteta saying: “We're just respecting the times that the medical department has set, and then we’ll just monitor his evolution every single day. We understand that he’s not fully ready yet, but he's getting very close now.”
Oleksandr Zinchenko - Out
Zinchenko is not expected to return from a muscular injury until just after Christmas.
Declan Rice - Fit
Rice was rested with a knock against Palace, but Arteta has said he ‘is fine’.
Takehiro Tomiyasu - Out
Tomiyasu suffered a setback with his knee injury and will be absent long term. Arteta has said: “Tomiyasu is going to be out for a bit. He's going away for a few weeks to change his environment because it's been really tough for him. We're going to give him the best opportunity to try and unlock something, but I think we need to be patient.”
