Dembele could have joined Chelsea
Chelsea were reportedly keen on signing Dembele back in 2022, in the first summer transfer window since Todd Boehly and co took over as owners of the club.
It was claimed that Thomas Tuchel was leading Chelsea’s interest in a deal, with him having plenty of experience working with the ‘special’ Frenchman in the past.
They were also linked with the addition of Raphinha in the same transfer window, however ended up with their marquee attacking signing being Raheem Sterling.
The England international was brought in with a real fanfare, however failed to make the impact he would have desired at the club and is currently on loan at Arsenal, where he is finding gametime hard to come by.
